Not all but alot management team i would consider a boss and not a leader (Boss is someone whom has no consideration for their employees and are solely focused on advancement and not what is best for the company as a whole including its employees) (A leader looks out for his team and the company )

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Incompetent leadership, college kids that can’t run a train around a Christmas tree are calling the shots on how to run a railroad. Not letting us fix engines correctly and signing them off then blaming us for them not making it out on the rails for longer then a few days. The management is trash.

Nitpicking. Finding fault in your employees should not be a a joyful experience. It should be coaching. A smiling trainmaster with a "we gotcha" attitude is not a leader.

Higher pay scale, and pay less for insurance. Went from paying nothing for insurance when I started and it covering everything to where we are today. The railroad makes record profits year after year.

Lots of responsibility and accountability and no appreciation or monetary compensation for efforts, just complaints about things you have no power to control and counterproductive technology "tools" compliance that inevitably makes your job harder instead of easier.

Forcing us to work holidays and weekends makes this job hard to handle, I understand you can’t have everyone taking off all the time but the attendance policy is ridiculous along with the newfound cardinal rules. If they don’t want to work with us on a contract, cut a little slack on other things.

Every day you wonder if you are going to be written up whether you do anything wrong or not. Managers are threatened by upper management if they do not write up and fire a certain number of employees every month.
