
There are times that we are told to violate our union agreements and for doing so we are entitled to additional payment per the union contract signed by the company and the union. More times than not we are not payed our additional compensation.
Working as a team. Management needs to follow advice from the seasoned veterans, not just listen and continue down the same path. In transportation the agreement employees are more worried about discipline than actually doing the job, we are constantly looking over our shoulders.
Customer service needs to be number one above the opinions of stock holders. NS needs to stop looking at what other railroads are doing and lead by example. Take care of your customers, take care of your employees, and the money will pour in.
The "us vs them" mentality. Every day all we hear about are the jobs being cut across the system so the stock holders can see a increase of a few percentage points on their earnings. Customer focus seems to be a distant second to the bottom line.
