Outback Steakhouse Leadership Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Good training experience on my first week..

I was lucky enough to work for good managers that valued taking care of their employees and promoted from within. I worked my way up from a host to a server fairly quickly and management was supportive and encouraging.

Inclusive helpful understanding direct amd to the point

Very flexable and willing to work with you

I like the willingness to support and work with the team

Review from Product Dept

Very nice friendly helpful caring

They are able to drive our company while still listening to us

We really are a team

all of the salaries are amazing and actually strive to make the team better, unfortunatley the proprietor talks down on all his emloyees and finds it funny to get in their faces and make them cry. he is like a dictator and does not help whatsoever.

It was very very good and they take pride in their job and they make sure everybody does their job without being mean or strict on them

they listened to what i wanted

Family the best workers ever

They communicate very very well

Very helpful in the teaching new employees the correct way to cook and temperature check for all stations

Review from Sales Dept

They help me grow as a leader

Review from Operations Dept

I feel very valued and important

Most managers are hard working, not all but most. They have a lot of pressure and are expected to work long hours because Outback is cheap and the labor hours are almost impossible to accomplish.

Our 3 managers, steven shanna and mindi, have all made my outback experience up until this point fine.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

They need to learn to hold their upper management accountable for their lack of action on certain issues.

Being fair to all employees

They need to be fair to the employees.

Communication and respect for staff

Get off their phones abd stop ordering tajeout to ve drlivered to restaurant abd sitting down to eat for hours

Listening to employees and actually caring about cleanliness.

Respecting their employees and offering equitable wages. I am 55 and was told I make $2 less per hour than my high school coworkers because "I don't need the money. " I

Review from Customer Support Dept

Working together as a team, leaving the gossip outside of work,

Taking concerns seriously and stop picking favorites

Review from Customer Support Dept

Leading in all directions and follow up on operations

Helping staff, listening, not taking role to head

The manager running it doesnt seem to care if his store operations are running to standard. The other managers show the people they know at the store for long time or there good friends or family favoritism. They let employees fight on the line and nothing bad besides a talk happens.

Putting care into their employees, we cycle through so many new employees now it's scary. All the long term Outbackers at my store have left because they didn't feel they were cared about.

Review from Sales Dept

Not gossiping about other employees when they are managers. They always have an attitude when we need help.

Managing. Leadership. Guidance. Constructive critism

Everything under then sun and above

Professional attitude, honesty and fairness

Lead by example which they dont do! No favoritism which there is a lot of!

Our managers support harassment when employees make jokes about other employees race sexuality appearance and other things the managers do nothing and they sit and laugh

Taking care of their employees
