I love the way that Rev takes all of our suggestions to heart and really listens to what we as employees have to say.

They're transparent with employees. They update us frequently on the company's strategy, goals and vision. They also make themselves available Mon-Fri for office hours so you can bounce ideas off of them and get feedback.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
The pay rate needs to be upped. Right now this position pays far less than minimum wage when you factor in how long it takes to find an audio file that's actually audible enough to be transcribed.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
Working at this company is a freelance/independent contractor position and it doesn't offer other benefits besides payment. But, I love working with this company because you can do it right from home.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
the amount of work needed to execute a single job does not match what it being paid to its freelancers, regardless, rev offers a great opportunity to make extra money working remotely. that said, does not allow enough time to learn the industry from the ground up. progress should be measured better

There is no stability. We are replaceable cogs who are paid far less than minimum wage in the US.

I work with a lot of smart people. Everyone is open to sharing ideas and helping each other grow. We also have a lot of fun together. There are no egos. We have rigorous interviewing processes to make sure we find people that will fit our culture.

Caption grading is too unpredictable. You can follow the style guide completely and still have points taken for subjective things.
