I’m a BIE getting paid $20k+ less than the bottom of the pay band for my role. I would feel better if I was paid fairly.

Jeff Bezos is actin like Smaug hoarding all the treasure that he wil never be able to appreciate because he's always sleeping on the piles of gold. All while his employees are going hungry, living from paycheck to paycheck, especially here in Seattle. I literally have coworkers that are homeless.

Less interviews. And the technical interview is not a good measure of someone's ability to do the job. At no point do I find myself under pressure to build something eith someone watching over my shoulder. And never do i have to build my code right on the first try without the ability to test.

Amazon PR spends lots of time ensuring that the public perceives the company positively. However, the real work environment is toxic and unhealthy especially for those with any sense of ethics. Very much a culture that will take your ideas not give you credit, and work you until they use you up.
