Amazon Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

i all time positive in my company

Review from Customer Support Dept

The culture is built on **customer obsession**, **ownership**, and **innovation**. Leaders set high standards, encourage bold thinking, and support risk-taking. We benefit from clarity, inclusivity, and open feedback—all in a fast-paced, supportive environmen

In office culture and working with smart, motivated employees

They have contests and giveaways

Review from Product Dept

The culture is terrible. Do not work at Amazon you will be miserable with the culture.

DRUG FREE AND RESPECTFUL FOR MY TEAM

Review from Finance Dept

I am positive with the culture and environment at my company.

I'm able to work independently with minimal direction to guide where we need to go.

Leadership and collaborative culture. No space to griwth

Finishing a shift and leaving work every day.

Alot of helpful people on my shift

Some group of people do come from the same country

For my current work environment, people are reliant on feedback to be successful. I feel the feedback received is tough but honest and I'm able to improve my work based on a peer's viewpoint without a sense of judgement.

The coworkers I work with

They do well with understanding cultural and religious boundaries.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Stack ranking needs to be stopped or made open and public so that people know what they are signing up for. Employees should be assessed based on their knowledge and contributions, not the time they spend working. The current culture promotes average employees working excessive hours to meet artific

Start caring about people's health. Promote wellbeing and healthy work habits.

Review from Engineering Dept

I think they need to offer more flexibility and more support for internal movement

Review from Sales Dept

Stop focusing on activities to cya-find ways to grow the buisness

lack of resources should lead to revisit prioritization, but LP "ownership" is used to let you not say "Not my job"

More friendly environment for everyone to work and come and feel treated the same

Review from Operations Dept

Everything especially the men who think it's okay to do whatever they want and then have all their boys have their back while throwing women and disabled people or basically really anyone who is different than them under the bus. Anyone who isn't as privileged as the white male

Review from Product Dept

Managers knowing how to treat good workers.

Review from Operations Dept

Work life balance, fairer pay

Team is great, leadership is detached and doesn't understand the work

Review from Engineering Dept

Ensuring new managers understand and follow the leadership principles. Too often, these new managers bring with them the culture of where they previously came from which dont align with AWS culture...which makes it difficult for subordinates to follow

The managers should support the newcomers and help with their onboarding process. No handover is made after startlng a new role. The new employees are expected to know everything done before within company and prepare documents accordingly but that is not the case.

Review from Product Dept

There is zero communication between leadership and regular employees.

Food House Health service regularly

Treat employee with respect, improve work life balance

More appreciation for worklife balance

senior management level and higher needs to be replaced with an empathetic, supportive team willing to build a culture of psychological safety and trust among the contributing engineers.

Treat humans as humans and not just numbers

Review from Operations Dept

Higher pay, more time off availability. 20 hours of unpaid time isnt enough to take care of emergencies when they arise.

Executive Management, Senior Management, Operational Management, Area Management ... Oh, and nepotism & cronyism need to stop!
