Ross Stores Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

overall payment, ESPP. 401K matching

Many ways to improve yourself and care for your family.

Store i work at allowed me time off. Allowed me to care for my brother when he was dying of cancer. They kept me full time, eventhough i went down to only one day a week.

I love that I get 20 percent off and sometimes 40 percent

Being able to get the thing I need done.

Review from Operations Dept

I honestly don't use any of the benefits besides the 20% employee discount.

20% discount for the staff

Review from Sales Dept

The benefits packages are fair for part-time workers.

ROSS is very considerate in my compensation as to giving me time off for personal appointments, with FMLA.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Honestly this is a minimum wage job, but I'm surprised that there is pet insurance. I love that honestly.

Review from Sales Dept

Salary is decent to live on

My hourly rate could be higher for part time employment.

It's very clear their are no hiding fees.

The 20% discount, thats really all there is.

Don't have. Don't think I'll ever get it

Review from Sales Dept

I dont even see my package conpensation

Vacation tome, but youre never allowed to use it.

Comparable rates, different options for benefit packages, company match 401k (up to a certain %)

Stock options. Vacation and sick pay

Vision is good. My 401K is great

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation is not competitive at all. Management has scheduling issues providing conflict with both the store's productivity and employee's personal schedules. Trainings are not clearly followed or implemented by management.

Stock room jobs are mainly production and should be paid production wages

The company always goes over our payroll.

It's a minimum wage job with no benefits. You will be scheduled 4 hours a week regardless of speed.

Review from Sales Dept

Just being treated fairly and bein train the same .

Review from Sales Dept

Consistency in management. Those in manager position needs to respect the sales associate and talk to them as if they are valuable to the company.

I have been a full time employee for over a year and never got the raise i was told i would get, despite asking about it iver and over again

I was paid minimum wage my entire time there. I was always told that what I was doing (working extra hours, training new associates, doing jobs I wasn't qualified for) was not enough. The last manager I had before I quit discriminated against me using my protected characteristics

Pay should be more comparable to walmart not minimum wage. When people feel overworked and underpaid they do not put in the extra effort. They hardly give any sick time or vacation to their employees. Almost any job at least gives 2 weeks vacation per year and a separate PTO for sick time.

Review from Operations Dept

i need more opportunities for raises and more respect from management. i would like to be allowed to leave on time and not guilt tripped or ordered to stay to finish unfinished projects. i would like if my part time counterparts received benefits. i would appreciate a union.

They brought someone new in making as much as I was when I had been there since opening and worked my way up from the bottom.

Review from Sales Dept

If they increas the salary

I'd feel better if I was earning a living wage. I've had 1 50 cent raise in 5 yrs!!

Better pay and annual pay bonuses.

All they have to do is acknowledge how hard people work and maybe have a Christmas party. They celebrate nothing with their people.

I feel undervalued because i do the work of a regular retail associate on top of the area supervisior duties, i try and excell at every position only to be rejected OT opportunities.

The company hasn't changed the base pay in almost 10 years. They give you an a godly amount of work to do and then on days for inventory, or when the store gets waxed and cleaned, we don't get paid overtime which we easily should considering we get double the amount of work for no extra pay.

You’re expected to do a lot for a minim

When they do as they please with my set schedule. When they ovee work me with no break. I would feel better if they allow me to have a break even when im a AS.

Review from Operations Dept

I am a very good and hard worker, but the pay wasn't adding up with my skills.
