Ross Stores Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

my coworkers & leads! They're extremely friendly. On some good days you meet really cool customers.

The culture of support is productive.

A handful of dedicated workers creates a good teamwork . Positive interaction with customers make the day a brighter one.

The coworkers was all o looked forward too

So far the kost positive part of the company have been the managers. After getting hired and helping to open up a new store, i realized even their opening procdeure was unorganized and chaotic. Speaking from expereince as I also helped to set up a Meijer in Kent a few years ago, much smoother.

Review from Sales Dept

Co workers are nice and attempt to celebrate others

The other coworkers and managers

I like helping the customers and fellow employees.

The most positive thing about rhe work environment is my co workers personalities and the ability to make hard days funny and or go by fast. We all get along like friends and that also makes it easier to deal with customers.

My peers work hard and we take care of each other.

Positive, Discounts, managers that supoort the team, and working with hard working people.

Our store manager is the most positive and caring manager ever. He strives to make our environment enjoyable which makes for very happy and hard working employees.

The managers they are awesome

The other associates. We help each other out.

Co workers are the best part of the culture and environment

Getting our job done in a timely manner.

Everyone is nice and helpful, and we work as a team

Overall works ok its a confortable atmosphere.

Review from Operations Dept

Most positive thing about the company is that the staff are all amazing.

literally nothing, we're all miserable working because the manager is evil and the customers are despicable

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Better working conditions and culture.

Management needs to be more empathetic Management need to stop speaking negative to workers about each other. Management need to know boundaries, and respect employees personal space and privacy

Everything from management to how work is supposed to be handled efficiently.

Culture of fear cultivates fakeness and everyone pretending to be happy with mediocre pay, management, etc

Respect everyone... Stop lieing on employees.... Stop talking bad to employees

Review from Sales Dept

If you're willing to pay your CEO $12,000,000 then be willing to pay your team members at the same hourly rate as Walmart, Target, etc. You opened new stores across the US this year with only 2 cashiers, with high theft & no SPS hired. Try cutting your alertline, not SPS & stock your shelves weekly.

Being paid fairly and given raises

The company hates change, there is an unspoken understanding you cant challenege managers and directors at all. Snails pace

Review from Operations Dept

Management could use better communication skills

Review from Sales Dept

Better management better employees better pay and better benefits

Review from Operations Dept

Attitudes, Maturity, Language, Manager roles

Review from Sales Dept

Because of our managment I have to say it's a negative work environment; however, the staff we have deserves to be recognized. The people I dont regularly work alongside never miss a beat and are always willing to lend a hand.

Review from Sales Dept

CEO and managers need to listen without cutting hours

Review from Sales Dept

More involvement and interaction between store managers and team members.

Review from Sales Dept

Negative environment with too many tasks

not sure how the culture will improve with the current leadership and mindset

Better benefits and lower expectations from upper management

Review from Operations Dept

in the summer they don't turn the air on and it gets above 100 degrees easily. and the winter is so cold you have to bundle up.

Review from Operations Dept

we need a way better structure

Review from Operations Dept

Human Resources needs to check all the applications and see how bullies are with others because they been there too long.
