It has been positive from the start. From a generous salary offering right from the get go to a painless onboarding and very comprehensive training. A lot of effort gets put into making sure that everyone has what they need to succeed in doing their job right.
At Sitecore, it's the first time I feel I am being dealt with like a mature adult. There is a clear agreement where I well fairly compensated and there is an expectation that I will provide high quality work. There is no "carrot dangling" where I am underpaid with a vague promise of advancement.
Overall very positive experience and very happy I found Sitecore. I have managed to recruit 3 former colleagues, and they all say the same thing. Good teams, good managers, good work. Only real thing that would improve was more vacation time. 3 week starting is a fading standard.
Fixing problems and helping my co-workers.
Teaching others something new, or helping others with difficult problems.
High engagement and enthusiasm. Seem committed to the long term success of the company.
Knowing that my work helps my co-workers and my team make a good product.
Solving problems. Especially working on new or custom systems or client requests, where I have to work and think outside the box.
Culture of maturity. Personal issues are rare and I have yet to encounter any big egos despite being at the company for 2+ years.
They seem committed to providing a good, quality product and they realize that to do so, you need to attract and retain high quality people.
Very high "esprit de corps". Team wants to succeed together and everyone goes out of their way to help each other out however they can.
The performance bonuses are well setup and structured. The goals are achievable and encourage you to deliver high quality work but not at the expense of work life balance.
I consider our compensation package to be "industry standard" for a multinational software company. It is good and fair, but hardly exceptional in any way compared to other similar companies.
Every single member of my team is very mature, talented and self-motivated. Everyone makes a real effort to help each other out and will always offer assistance or advice, often without being asked.
There is a high level of positivity and cooperation. People offer assistance freely and happily and will ask for help if they need it. This seems to be deeply embedded in the work culture.
High level of diversity and collaboration. Lots of lateral movement in the company makes for lots of people with broad experience and vested interest in success of their team and other teams as well.
As someone who is required to work on weekends occasionally, I like the generous extra compensation that is given when I am required to work on a weekend or holiday. Makes working on weekends seem far less onerous.
There is a high level of "esprit de corps" on the team. Team members very readily help each other and try to make each others life easier. No large egos, just a bunch of considerate and mature individuals.
They seem to understand that the most valuable asset the company has is it's people and take serious measures to ensure that competent, talented and motivated people want to work for the company and keep working for the company
Very nice bonus structure that is designed to be achievable, ie. you don't have to invest excessive time and effort to achieve the full bonus. Yearly merit reviews are taken seriously to ensure compensation keeps up with inflation etc...
Very people focused and interested on retention. Compensation is regularly reviewed and increased in a fair fashion without the need for reminding or asking. Management seems to realize that compensation is the main way to attract and retain good talent.
Everyone is very helpful. If you go to someone for help, you can always expect them to go out of their way to assist you, which in turn encourages me to do the same if I am approached for help.
Hi level of maturity. Everyone is team focused and is committed to the team goals and although there are diverging opinions on various things, the disagreements are constructive and any decisions that are taken are respected by the team as a whole.
