I'm finishing up my first month at Snyk, and I have nothing but great things to say about it. As a woman with little tech background learning a more technical role, I have been met with enthusiasm, support, and a genuine sense that I am in the right place, by EVERYONE. No micro-managing. Love it!!
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I'm an intern, so while my pay is excellent, my benefits are non-existent :) The pay is really good though, and there's a clear path to becoming a FTE.
What did you like most about the interview process?
Everyone treated me with respect: both me as a person, and my time. People were genuinely interested to be talking to me. Recruiter is the best I've ever worked with.
What makes you most happy at work?
Learning! As an intern that's most of what my job is. But it feels amazing to crush my learning tasks, and have every meeting make more and more sense as I skill-up.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone is genuinely kind and makes time for me when I ask for it. No-one ever makes me feel less-than just because I'm learning a new role, in a new industry. Everyone seems genuinely happy to be here.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I haven't had much interaction with leadership, but they tackle difficult questions head-on and publicly: they genuinely care to be challenged. Transparency and directness is incredibly important to me, and Snyk leadership seems to do it with a moral backbone.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone is friendly, good at their job, and really cares about it in an intellectually curious way. I also super appreciate that while that combo is true of everyone on my team, everyone has a life, and that life is a priority. Leadership gets it too.
