Mr. Gabriel Torres has been President of New England Region at Sprint Corporation since July 2016. Mr. Torres is responsible for sales strategy, network oversight, customer service, marketing communications and general operations supporting the full portfolio of Sprint products and services from enterprise to consumer. He served as Vice President of Multicultural Marketing and vice president and general manager at T-Mobile USA, running the business in the Southeast Region. He was also previously with Sprint where he launched the PCS network in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and was vice president for the West Area for Sprint Company-Owned Retail. He served as Vice President of Business Development at Mozido, LLC (alternative name Affinity Global Services, LLC). Mr. Torres has over 20 years of domestic and international sales, marketing and business development experience in turnaround and high growth environments, and is highly experienced in identifying and capturing opportunities for increased revenues, profitability and growth. Mr. Torres spent 10 years with Microsoft in several senior positions in Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean. Mr. Torres was collaborating as Senior Business Development Vice President/Consultant with Affinity Global Services, LLC. Mr. Torres has developed strong expertise in building complex mobile financial services, mobile remittances (international money transfer) and mobile payments ecosystems to reach unbanked and under banked consumers in developing and underdeveloped economies. Prior to his latest project, as part of Mr. Torres's Telecommunications/Wireless industry experience, he was Vice President of Wireless Retail Operations at RadioShack, Vice President/General Manager for the Southwest Region for Helio Wireless MVNO, West Region Vice President for Sprint Nextel, and General Manager for Sprint in the Caribbean. Mr. Torres holds an undergraduate engineering degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He also completed an Executive Education Program at the INALDE Management and Business School of Universidad de la Sabana in Colombia.
