Executive Bio

Mr. Ivo Rook has been Senior Vice President of Internet of Things (IoT) at Sprint Corporation since January 1, 2018. Mr. Rook leads a group of world-class product specialists to develop and operationalize IoT solutions in a category that continues to grow exponentially. He is responsible for driving B2B and B2B2C growth strategies, including funding, alliances and development of operationalized solutions. He has been Strategic Advisor of Sprint and Softbank since January 1, 2018. He acts as the Liaison Officer to the Softbank Group of companies involved in the IoT space. Mr. Rook served as Chief Executive Officer for Vodafone's IoT Business, where he led Vodafone's IoT strategy, driving its growth, products, operations and profit and loss globally. He also held positions at Vodafone Global Enterprise Limited as Sales Director of Northern Europe and Director of Germany and Central Europe. He was responsible for Vodafone Global Enterprise Limited's global accounts based in Northern Europe - including UK, Ireland, The Netherlands, Iceland, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Scandinavia. He was responsible for global accounts based in Central and Eastern Europe - including Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, Poland, the Balkan states and Russia. Before joining Vodafone Global Enterprise Limited in 2010, he built an impressive reputation in international strategic sales within the telecommunications industry. After a successful spell as a Telecommunications Consultant for KPN/Unisource in the Netherlands, he managed international sales for their country organisation Siris in Paris. He led KPN corporate accounts in the USA from their offices in New York. Returning to Europe, he created the network outsourcing business for T-Systems in Frankfurt, and spearheaded the creation of the Corporate Global Accounts business unit for BT Germany. Mr. Rook earned a Masters in Information Management from Erasmus University in Rotterdam. He is a pragmatic executer and truly global player, having worked many years abroad and speaks four languages.
