Dr. Sam Endy, PhD has been the Chief Operating Officer of Link_A_Media Devices Corporation since September 2009. Dr. Endy serves as Vice President, Operations of Sprint Corp. (formerly, Sprint Nextel Corp). He served as the General Manager of the Mobile Wireless Business Unit and Vice President of Atheros Communications Inc., from September 27, 2006 to September 29, 2008. Dr. Endy led Atheros' business efforts in the mobile wireless market. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of TeleCIS Wireless. He oversaw the TeleCIS's introduction of a MIMO-ready WiMAX System-on-a-Chip to enable portable handheld subscriber devices. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President at ArrayComm LLC since September 2003, where he led the implementation of broadband wireless and smart antennas in PHS, GSM, WCDMA and WiMAX systems and cultivated successful relationships with top-tier mobile carriers and system vendors worldwide. Dr. Endy served as the Chief Operating Officer of ArrayComm where he played an instrumental role in the successful technology and market development stages for ArrayComm's flagship products -- the iBurst(TM) Personal Broadband system and IntelliCell(TM), ArrayComm's patented smart antenna array processing techniques. He led the creation of manufacturing partnerships with Kyocera, LG Electronics, Marconi, and AirNet that set ArrayComm apart from the field of small companies attempting to develop, manufacture, and support next-generation wireless technologies themselves. Dr. Endy's career prior to ArrayComm spans more than 20 years of success in building new wireless and wireline operator businesses. He served as Corporate Vice President of Operations at Sprint, where he was responsible for the activation and operation of Sprint's 20,000 miles U.S. fiber network, 42 switching centers, and initiation of international service. As Senior Vice President of Marketing, Sales and Service at Centex Telemanagement, he helped build the industry's first successful CLEC based on Centrex and helped sell the business to MFS. He served as an Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of International Wireless, he oversaw the development of 10 wireless mobile cellular, paging and specialized mobile trunked radio companies in Asia and Latin America. Dr. Endy had a distinguished leadership career in the U.S. Army in a variety of combat, Pentagon, and academic positions. He left military service as a tenured Professor and Deputy Head of Electrical Engineering at the US Military Academy. He serves as Vice Chairman of the PHS MOU and the PHS/PAS industry association. He was a recipient of the Purdue Outstanding Electrical and Computer Engineer award for 2008. Dr. Endy is a graduate of the US Military Academy at West Point and earned M.S. and Ph.D degrees in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
