What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?Caring for others, collaborating, and forming a community where we can rely on each other. When I am out, I trust that others are taking care of my clients and projects.
What is the best part about your compensation package? The flexibility in my work hours/schedule is key because I have a daughter in elementary school that can have unpredictable schedules. The unlimited PTO is great, but only because of the willingness of my supervisor and leadership team to support me taking time off.
What do you like best about the leadership team?My immediate leadership team (Sr. Director supervisor and VP) seem to be sincerely invested in the company and staff. I feel comfortable going to them with questions and concerns. The higher-level leadership team (up to the CEO) seem to care about the people as well as the numbers.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation? My pay is below average for my skillset and experience in the industry and area. I would feel better if the company was better at allowing training and continuing education. This is often discouraged from a cost perspective from leadership and executive teams.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation? Our salaries (specifically for planners) are below comparable positions of our competitors. Health insurance is good, but doesn't cover as much compared to other plans.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?I have noticed a trend toward employees at the field level matter the position not respecting other peoples opinions or approaches

At SWCA, we believe in helping our communities in a meaningful way, collectively and as individuals.
Every year our employees participate in an array of community and charitable service projects. Most of these activities are grassroots efforts that take place at the office level.

This annual benefit gives employees 4 hours of paid time to use toward volunteer events, such as donating blood or participating in a park clean-up. SWCA also offers employees the opportunity to donate to charitable organizations in lieu of receiving service awards and/or holiday gifts.
Last year, SWCA donated $112,000 to 145 charities, and together, our employees dedicated more than 1,400 hours to various events and causes.
