Sweetwater is the best thing that has ever happened to myself & family. In the past five years, I went from working as an associate in a big box retail store to having a career path in talking about gear that I love. If I could go back in time, I would do it all over again and I would do it sooner.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone is knowledgeable. There is a lot of security in knowing that if I do not know the answer to something, I am no more than 5 minutes from getting that answer.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I am very fortunate to work in an industry of passion. Everyone that I work with cares about their craft professionally and personally. There is no shortage of talent, but there is a shortage of ego that is typically attached to talent.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I feel heard. I have never worked anywhere in which my direct manager has cared so much. And this care isn't limited to what I produce as an employee, he also cares that everything is well with me on an interpersonal level. That level of care is felt throughout the company.
What makes you most happy at work?
Being a resource for my customers. l grew up in a music scene that was very cliquey. I wanted to learn as much as I could but no one was ever willing to share their knowledge. Not only do I get to learn every single day, but I get to be that resource that I always wanted.
