The leadership at Sweetwater is part of the reason I moved across the country to work at Sweetwater in Fort Wayne Indiana. The culture from the top down is honest, genuine, and caring towards the customers and also for their thousands of employees. I still feel heard and valued as an employee 100%.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
We don't all have a chance at advancement unless you know the right people. Positions don't get posted for us to appoly, but somehow promotions and vacancies are fill simutaneously. Sweetwater is sweet to the customers, but not so sweet to the employees.

There are constant changes that benifit the company and not the employee. Structural changes need to be mode give and take, and not just take.

I am paid fairly with being 100% commission sales. There are bonuses and sales competitions via the partnership with our vendor partners and great employee purchase perks and benefits to get the gear we love selling and try out new and exciting music gear to get familiar with to help our customers.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Compensation could be better, but it is fair.

I feel like I do a lot of things that are outside of my role because they are the right thing to do, but it isn't always acknowledged. I am not miserable but I think I offer a lot.

We do so much for all of the teams within the Sweetwater walls and we get no compensation and when it's mentioned we are blown off and even treated different in a negative manner.

Not all employees commission percentage is the same. There is no compensation for time consuming assistance to new sales engineers

The culture of the team is very strong. People interact more like friends than just coworkers.

Hard working and hungry for success. Kind and open to iteration (most of the time...). Attitude and growing in kindness and emotional understanding between colleagues and also their customers can be attended to but I see it going in the right direction.

Most of the teamt that was recruited by Jordan Bridges have no sense of team. Their is a lack of unity that keeps us from being at the level we were at before.

"Do the right thing" is actually a true statement from many around me. People are striving to serve others and care for them deeply. Even if it feels phony on stage from management/executives it does ring true throughout the entire campus & company.

What did you like most about the interview process?
Open to questions and my schedule - I wasn't able to start the job at the time they wanted me to and they were immediately flexible. Great first impression. They were welcoming and very straightforward with every test/role play

Even when it's hard to get here (Depression, Anxiety, the "human condition") I'm most happy when I'm able to serve others and love them dearly, be that my customers or colleagues. That has been true for my entire tenure here at Sweetwater.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Management doesn't listen and have poor leadership skills. Watching people fail yet get promoted while those that do the job perfect get stuck cause they are good is depressing. I don't get regular one-on-ones, so there is no developing happening to help me grow.
