Talbots Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

It's a living wage and fairly comparable to the market

I'm still learning how to use my benefits.

Review from Sales Dept

The employee discount is excellent.

I am part time and appreciate the work schedule flexibility.

Fair salary and bonus paid twice a year

You can get alot of benefits or opt out, they have 401 k they match

Team Rewards for the Associates

Very competitive pay, what you sacrifice in dollars you get back in personal time and work/life balance.

The combination of health insurance and flexible work inviorement

As a part-time worker tryign to earn supplmental money for my home budget, tha ability to put 25-30% of what I earned into a IRA was a great selling point.

Review from Sales Dept

I am part-time, and I am well educated. I would like my salary to reflect on my achievements.

It is a full package - very well rounded.

Review from HR Dept

Fair pay for a retail job

Review from Sales Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I am a mere tea holder at a store in Ohio but I am expected to execute management duties daily and I receive very low pay in comparison to the assistant manager who brags about her pay rate openly and often!

Share thr equity deeper into the company instead of holding it all at the top

a raise of more than 45 cents

And uninspired and cold envirobment.

I do knot whang to answer

to be given a yearly raise based on my performance. Should have yearly employee reviews with the manager.

Review from Sales Dept

Twenty five cent raise in eight years is all I need to say

Let me work full time hours & payscale needs to be competitive with the area

Part time no benefits at all. 401k but will never have enough hours to join

Review from Sales Dept

I am part time so i don't receive any benefits

Talbots continues to hire new from outside and pay dollars more an hour and not compensate employees that have signifigant tenure in same position. There is a misguided belief that tenured employeez will not be made aware of these differences in pay.

Equitable salary based on responsibility

No raise. Worked on more responsibilities but paid the same as others

Part timers were working hardly not allowed to chat with other workers while key holders , managers are chatting for hours . Horrible rules for part time workers .

If I made more money, I would like that a whole bunch.

A Raise and benefits or rewards

Review from Sales Dept

Pay level. They do all they can to tell you "Great job!", but they have had a wage freeze, no cost of living increase in 10 years. Executive level pay has risen quite handsomely, but the 9-5 employee has seen no difference and also has Benefit costs increase each year with no company contribution.
