Talbots Leadership Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

The only person I like in leadership is my store manager. I think leadership doesn't know what they're doing, and is about to bleed the company dry before it bankrupts. Stores frequently get in floor set or direction with incorrect product, and promotions that are too complicated.

I think the district manager is a decent human being and cares about her manager's!

we are a true team

Our manager is a true team player, but most importantly, she is a true leader.

the manager and assistant are great. Their hands are tied

I am the leadership team

Their enthusiasm for the Talbots Co.

I appreciate the humanness of my superiors and their willingness to share developmental strategies and business information that helps keep our team in a positive flow.

Friendly and fair with all associates

They focus on respect and consistent communication. No drama and willing to help.

They are very talented and often share their vision for the company

Great teamwork and nice people. Too bad Talbots doesn't reward for work well done.

I’ve informed the recently new store mgr. of the short comings of a fairly new employee who won’t clean stuff up, hides when the phone rings, never will empty trash or restock. If this continues I will leave. It’s exhausting unless every person works! I’ve been there 8 yrs. Trust me, the

They are kind, flexible and help with home work balance

Leads us but also lets US have wing to fly. Helps us and gives us advice. Shows us for instance how to order money, but if we forget shes their being helpful guiding us. Doesn't make us feel inferior. Always uplifting. Thats why i took the sales manager position. Great leadership

Needs to hear what the employees are saying for the betterment of the company

Scheduling is not done with respect to employees.

Servant leadership practiced at the Executive levelHreat leadership thtough the pandemic

Very good at keeping all levels of staff from management to store associates informed and trained. Encourages new technology to best serve the customer experience.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Communication, listening to personnel with obstacles that impact store appearance, pride, and company quality. Less self-centered leadership and more team and corporate focused would be enlightening.

Soend time with teams instead of being lcoked away in their quiet, remote offide areas.

Scheduling & training & following corporate guidlines when it comes to floorset. Gm does her own setup & totally confuses me in training

Giving directions without being condescending or demeaning.

Review from Sales Dept

Decisiveness, not recycling ideas from the past over and over

General manager wasnt professional other key holders are lazy and discriminate torse part timers .

Stopping retaliation and following California state laws

Review from Sales Dept

Treating employees better, giving raises, maintaining clean work environment, abiding by state and federal laws, making workplace safer

Review from Sales Dept

The leadership team is great, however communication in general could be better.

The Executive Team are like pigs at a trough who need to raise their heads. Filling their bank account, acquiring new cars, openly talking of vacations in exotic places, photoshoots/junkets in France are just some examples. All while their has been a wage freeze and multiple rounds of layoffs.

Caring for their employees opinions. Open communication.
