When im helping customers and interacting with them. I also try to connect with my coworkers but when management sees us talking we get reprimanded. Its not like we are not working when we chat.

I like to work with customers. I want to assist them with their style choices, and I like to establish a connection with them that will allow them to have a pleasant shopping experience.
Helping someone find a garment that fits correctly (proportions match their body) and that is flattering. I was flumoxed by the number of women who did not know what size they were or thought they wore a different size than what actually fit. Sad to see the negative perceptions about size numbers.

Talbots does not pay sales associates enough. They are not even slightly competitive with other retail. They will lose competent workers.
Petite plus has been removed from the physical store. She wants to try on in store before purchase. Lower the price points. $99 for tops is a bit much & makes alot of clients rethink their spending
HR needs to audit district and store managers frequently.

negative attitudes, hard work for little pay, no raises or rewards. Company should pay better and treat employees with dignity, and give raises. Also work place needs to be cleaned and healthier.

I see that I am just being used as a part. They have no future plan for me, and when I request a raise I will be ignored, and if I push the issue, replaced. Recent history would show this is their business model.
