My manager goes above and beyond to make sure I feel supported and adequately equipped to do my job. While I don't get the same level of support from the overall leadership team, I think the intention and spirit are the same, which I appreciate.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Providing the tools to do the job. There is siloing in all departments and Textron-wide. Lack of resources to do the job and not enough people to cover the fact that basic tasks take 3x times longer with no recourses. Communicating across Textron is needed.

Need to show a willingness to listen to create a strong environment of trust that will encourage people to be more vocal and share their ideas. Be adaptable to change during COVID. Actually implement emotional intelligence. Focus on efficiency. Focus on building dynamic teams with strong leadership.

I believe I am now getting market pay for the job I do, but it took five years for someone to review my salary and realize I was being under paid. I like that my salary is finally competitive.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
We are paid lower than the industry standard. Having young kids come in and accept pennies lowers the pay scale and makes it unappealing for skilled workers.

Healthcare benefits could be better, compensation, flex work schedule and vacation allotment are not in line with industry. Not even allowing a discussion re: compensation makes me feel undervalued by HR.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Company needs to improve on hiring people that are more capable/qualified or investing in more training. Wouldn't hurt to hire people who have had actual experience. It would also help if senior management also fully understood how to conduct the role of the individual they were training.

Leadership seems to be the stem of the complaints I hear about company wide. Old tactics and aggressive ways of handling employees by trying to intimidate them seems to be a trend.
