The Home Depot Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

I believe my coworkers are. Customers are rarely rude either.

Posted 2 days ago

The only positive thing at the sore I am at are the other people I am working with. But we lose them pretty fast. I am looking for another job.

The environment is pushed towards being forward and inclusive. We take care of the customers so the company tries to take care of us. Management is very considerate to many different situations for associates. Are you in college? perfect, they offer tuition reimbursement and options for part time.

Management way to friendly and associates take advantage

Everyone is friendly and happy

Its positive because it has to be. Management tells you the customer is always right even though company policy says otherwise. Customers can be rude and we cant say anything.

The attitude is always the most effective way to greet anyone in that store.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Quit promoting people based on favoritism and cronyism. Home Depot seems to promote the people that stand around and talk and don't really do any work.

1 associate decides the tempo of the day. Which is always negative

Be open to each individual's struggles and work with them accordingly.

HR, supervisor and management team

Review from Sales Dept

They need to stop assaulting me.

Actual help in the areas of need. Better management help in the store.

The focus now is on quantity not quality

Openness. Open door policy is just there as a slogan. Not actually implemented.

There needs to be a lot of changes

Stop looking at the almighty dollar and go back to CARING about your people

Replace the storenand district managers

Managers could follow the sop

As an associate gains an above average knowledge in various departments management should at the very least show they value that associate. That doesn't necessarily mean more money.

Review from Operations Dept

It starts at the top, Negative all the way up

Review from Sales Dept

i like the culture and beliefs family first

Review from Operations Dept

Spend less time looking at metrics, let managers manage their store

Review from Operations Dept

Stop hiring to meet a goal for gender or race

Review from Sales Dept

A lot of things are done half assed, people need to be held accountable.

Review from Sales Dept
