Executive Bio

Mr. Stephen Dunbar-Johnson has been President of International at The New York Times Company since October 2013. Mr. Dunbar-Johnson served as Executive Vice President of International Herald Tribune S.A.S since September 2006. Mr. Dunbar-Johnson was responsible for the IHT's advertising and conference revenue. He also oversaw the newspaper's circulation and marketing departments, as well its Asia operations on the commercial front. He served as Vice President and Commercial Director of International Herald Tribune since September 2000. He served as Advertising Director, since joining IHT in 1998. Prior to joining IHT, He served as UK Advertisement Director of the Financial Times. During his twelve years at the FT, he held various positions in the paper's advertising department, including Advertising Manager in France and Vice President of Advertising in the Americas based in New York. He served as Vice Chairman of The New York Times Company since February 2008 and serves as its Director. He served on the Board of the International Advertising Association. He was educated at Worth's School and Kent University in the UK and later at Wharton School University of Pennsylvania. .
