It depends on the individual store's management team -- the "captain" (manager) and the "mates" (supervisors, potential captains in training). The management team in my store is pretty good, I think the captain is a good person, a good manager, and fair. That's not true of all store captains.
What makes you most happy at work?
Interacting with congenial customers and crew members.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Happy (for the most part) customers, likewise, the crew.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Store team: Captain and mates appear to work well together. Crew members are hard working, and friendly.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
No. I'm at an age where I am winding down, and not trying to be promoted. The compensation has grown gradually, but now is at a good level.
