Travelers Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

26 days of PTO/sick leave refreshes eveey new year. Good basic health care.

401k match and pension is good

I love the pto package

Salary, pension, 401k match, health benefits

IS GOOD TO WORK THERE

The pay is pretty good

20 days of PTO to start

The 401k matching is the best part

Pension, year end bonus, generous PTO

Great medical benefits and generous PTO.

The best part is our student loan reimbursement

Great health insurance and other corporate benefits.

Paternity leave 401 match. Low medical

Pension and 401k are matched

Pension and stocks are the only good thing about this company.

Company Paying 401k towards me paying back stident loans

Best part is the Pension Plan and I feel extremely fortunate having that as part of the benefits program. Although not something I use but I would have loved when I was younger is the 401k matching plan for paying off student debt.

401k match is really good

Review from Customer Support Dept

The best part is the pension.

Benefits are expensive but acceptable.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

A better health plan is needed.

Compensation is merit based but then raises given on ratios and last time a raise was received. Transparency js a joke as the ranges are so far apart. Bonuses given to favorites. No gainsharing.

Maybe these corporate scumbags set aside their 100000$ bonuses and pay a living wage

My role is a hybrid that would generally allow for significantly higher pay at other companies. Pay raises and bonus are meager given the workload.

My first equity bonus was 3k - that's not enough to retain me when it comes from a multimillionaire company

Review from Product Dept

The loyalty of ling time employees is undervalued. Pay increases over time may not surpass a simple 3% cost of living increase. Yet, new employees often come in at a higher pay rate.

Merit increases are not in line with cost of living increases. Incentive based profit sharing instead of subjective bonuses (or lack thereof) would be more equitable compensation for all managers across all lines of business.

A higher salary and better, more transparent bonus program.

Merit increases should be honest and fair. They have a 30k pay range for each position but will only give at most a 2% pay increase if you get a pay increase which is very rate. They undervalue current employees but will scout new talent and pay yhem more than their loyal employees.

Review from Customer Support Dept

I do the job of 3 people due to there being such a lack of UX presence. Compensation wise should be much higher

They need to offer bonus for all and not based on a system of favoritism

We pay a higher share of our benefits than competitors. Completely opaque bonus system. Need more clarity on ‘performance’ in order to guide our behavior to maximize

The company has a tendency to save on staffing dollars and creating more workload for frontline employees.

Review from Operations Dept

There is no transparency in the pay structure:

Review from Sales Dept

More money more employees yea

Review from Marketing Dept

The company is stingy with its pay and bonuses are a joke.

Review from Sales Dept

Travelers Number 1 Goal above everything is a 10% return on investment to the stockholders. They will cut anything and everything in order to meet that goal. Upper management is out of touch with the needs of their employees and don’t seem to care.
