Stop being fake and start being honest
More compensation for the amount and difficulty of work I am doing would make me more content with my position. My health benefits are horrible; I pay $80 a week for the worst plan while my deductible is still $5,000 per year. I get no stock, and I don't even get paid vacation time.

Direct managers need to be more open to answering questions versus criticizing the action already taken; focus on future, not past. Allow subordinates to discuss and have small talk w/o interjecting every other sentence, Take a step back and trust their employees to use the training provided to them
