W.W. Grainger Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

PTO is generous and great health benefits

Tuition reimbursement and focus on betterment and continued education.

Major medical insurance, dental and drugs are covered

Access to tons of benefits, and heavily subsidised by Grainger.

Their bonus and hike are better than my previous employers plus on if I don't contribute even then I have 401K getting ready for me.

Graingers base pay for sales professionals is excellent. Add on the 2 true ups a year and you earn what you put into the role.

More PTO than many companies, insurance, many options and encouragement to utilize mental wellness tools

401k match percent for percent up to 6 percent

Even if you're part time, you get bennefits

Review from Sales Dept

No match 401k contribution of 6 percent.

Review from IT Dept

Review from HR Dept

The best part about it is the money

Review from Sales Dept

Sales role. So, up to the individual on how much they make..sky is limit & was fortunate enough to pull underperforming accounts to the limit...and they put their money where their mouth is!

Review from Sales Dept

The strong base pay and short-term incentive program that reflects overall company performance but also considers individual performance.

Review from HR Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

No yes no yes no

There are male counterparts, with less experience, making as much/more than female teammates

Review from Sales Dept

I still cant afford to live on the wage im paid, and i still cant afford healthcare

This job is a hudge pay cut from my previous job. Management will not listen to experience.

other companies have the same role for more base pay. Grainger while in an attempt to be competitive offered a raise of 10 cents. In this role they do not allow negotiations in pay.

A better base salary commensurate with what the position requires.

Need higher wage for job

They act like employees should feel blessed to get what you get and shift premiums are a low JOKE

Review from Operations Dept

recognition and compensation, ownership that leaderships decisions have directly negatively impacted employees

Review from Sales Dept

I’m a part time employee and am not offered bereavement and i

Review from Customer Support Dept

Do not get paid enough for my tenure and what I do

Review from Customer Support Dept

Yes.... assigned tasks that align with my pay and title, instead of doing several employees and managers job just be denied promotions and compensation reflects that of employees just starting to work for the company

Review from Operations Dept

We are treated as just another number and metrics are far too important to the higher up. Treat us more like we matter and maybe there wouldn’t be such a high fall out rate.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Your salary is technically fair per your job title and the industry/market range, but WWG makes you do a lot of work above your pay grade for a long time before giving you the commensurate promotion and raise to accompany it. For me, it was over a year!

changed our profit sharing to a lower percentage

Review from Sales Dept

It makes sense to have better retirement as it seems the idea is to keep the younger people for life
