Wayfair Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Paid time off accrued for part time

When the stock was up, it was good. But, largely, the stock is down.

Packages are fair, no complaints.

It is market competitive and has both fixed and variable components.

I believe I am paid great for the work that I do.

Review from HR Dept

Salary combined with RSU equity

Review from HR Dept

The benefits package; PTO, insurance, 401k, etc

Review from HR Dept

I am really happy with the 401K match, Base, and maternity leave

Wayfair offers great healthcare coverage, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer days, unlimited PTO for senior managers and above, and generous family leave

Base salary and annual bonus

All was good with everything

Review from Customer Support Dept

The dental definitely, its top notch.

Review from Customer Support Dept

The bonus structure is strong and based on personal performance. You have complete control over if you receive your full bonus or not.

Review from HR Dept

The best part is equity

Review from HR Dept

The stock, which motivates everyone to help the company succeed.

Review from Engineering Dept

The equity package allows investment in the company and investment in the employee at the same time

Review from HR Dept

my base salary is fair/competitive

Review from HR Dept

the bonus seems to be better than industry average

Review from Operations Dept

pretty average across the board

Review from HR Dept

Bonus structure is truly based on your own performance

Review from HR Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Pay was advertised as starting out at 17.50 ( no exp ) - Have VAST experience, was onboarded at 16.00.. be honest.

More feedback and better opportunities

They recently did a great pay upgrade for the customer service agents. Managers, however, were left out. With increasing costs of living, it'd be nice to see manager base wages likewise improving.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Honestly listen to your employees rather than just writing it off to the general attitude of the workforce right now (I.e great resignation)

Coworkers leaving with better offers

Saying that people you pay $16 an hour make $45k a year because of “total compensation packages” is repulsive. Especially when you are increasing the workflows of service and ops without increasing compensation to accommodate. The pay increases for next level roles are not high enough to incen

Stock continues to be awarded at valuations higher than in the stock market

Review from Product Dept

With the decrease in stock price, the total compensation no longer reflects the market valuation.

Review from Engineering Dept

Wayfair takes pride in paying less. Some entry level designers have multiple jobs because Boston is very expensive and company doesnt believe in paying money. People who are managers and directors do not care about this low pay because everyone's base pay is low, however their bonuses/equity is high

Review from Design Dept

I think for the amount of work we have here at Wayfair and the amount of time, effort, and growth we experience we deserve to be paid more. I have friends in the industry and I know my salary does not inline with where they are, it is significantly lower.

Review from HR Dept

Because the pay is pretty standard. I'd feel better if we got a pass or discount on public transportation to and from work

Review from Product Dept

There needs to be a trade off of perks to compensation.

Review from Design Dept

For the work I put in, could get a bump in base.

Review from HR Dept

Heavy workload and salary that falls short of other peers'

Review from HR Dept

It's more about the ranking structure than actual compensation. I feel as though the ranking structure has specific flaws that cause unwarranted issues across our department. The ranking system undermines a team concept and getting people to work together.

I wish I was paid fairly for the work that I do.

Review from HR Dept

other companies offer more money for a similar role

Review from HR Dept

Boston is one of the most expensive cities in the world, but base salaries are lower than what I could receive elsewhere, and when compared to cheaper cities we're drastically underpaid.

Review from HR Dept

Wayfair pays low for almost every position

Review from HR Dept

Wayfair has an overt compensation philosophy to pay at or below median for all roles.
