Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Supporting a sector that has a high product demand this job receives a lot of attention. Budget issues prevent hiring so the workload increases. Other sectors are not seeing such a large demand so the company stock and compensation reflects the company outlook.

WD is a company of haves and have nots. Very political in who you know. Unless you are at a Director level or higher stock and other benefits are bad.
