Was told that performance evals have no weight on merit raises, so what's the point? Merit raise barely covers cost of living increase.

Focus in on fewer things, plan better, execute fully before adding more to the plate. Resources are strapped way too thin and they put way too much on us. It's impossible, unfair, and causes for shortcuts and messy work. Clear and consistent goals would help too.

Stress - someone in leadership is picking release dates out of thin air without understanding the resources and effort needed to make that release happen. It's pick a date and make it, no matter what. It's the worst way to deliver software, it's extremely stressful and causes a lot of failure
