The overall experience has been positive during the 17 years i have officially been with the company however the cyclical nature of re-orgs, bad business decisions like Baker Hughes/Nexus Controls commercial arrangement and Alstom buy have left most mid careers deflated and looking outside.

The power leadership team is transparent and willing to take questions. The team is willing to change course when given feedback.

The most positive are the people that I interact with. We try to make GE Power better even in a highly siloed and bureaucratic global system.

The team has remained consistent in providing monthly updates on strategy and business. Candor has been good. Still some overall functional issues within this matrixed organization.

The grow power rollout was at a time where the company, especially power could not pay it's bills and had to take many cuts. the Result was that a lot of us in the non-sales SPB population did not see any salary growth or bonus over a 5 year period or bonus awarded.
