When I started at GE 20 years ago it was a wonderful place to work. Good pay, benefits, opportunities for advancement. All three of these metrics have gotten significantly worse over 20 years. I'm particularly disappointed in the career growth opportunities...they are non-existent in finance.

An actual raise would be nice...I got 0.4% this last cycle so that younger employees could get a raise. Who do you think is holding this business together, the new kids or the seasoned veterans?

Understanding our business, and making better business decisions. We continue to hire and promote people who did not work their way up thru the Power ranks. Mot of the executive leadership team have no idea what they are doing...as evidenced by our results.

Stop hiring/promoting executives with little/no understanding of our business, and start actually promoting from within. Also if you are going to post EB roles, then you should actually interview for them instead of this current process where people are 'chosen' to be executives regardless of qualif
