Norfolk Southern Engineer's are the lowest paid class one railroads. They love bonus laden contracts. Instead of paying a good daily rate. Then they manipulate the metrics or change their interpretation of the CBA in mid contract.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Managers are not vested in their territories, all the care about is advancing up the chain. Anything that makes them look good is great. Any negative incident, such as derailment ,injuries, outbound train performance.
