Senior management is weak. HR is non-existent with each functional area acting as a fiefdom. Strong employees are overlooked and promotion decisions are capricious. Many middle managers of color were fired during the pandemic and no attempt has been made to rehire. It is diversity lip-service only.

Standardize the process. At AA each area does whatever it wants which makes no sense.

HR processes. Top-performing employees of color were fired during the pandemic without any HR review process. Now AA is attempting to hire from outside to meet diversity goals. Why not rehire experienced employees first, many of whom are people of color?
