American Airlines Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Mature co-workers and most have the same work ethic.

Review from Operations Dept

The best traits of my team are the supportive, respectful, and positive environment they create, which makes me feel genuinely happy and valued at work.

There is ALWAYS someone to support you, cheer you on, fight for you if necessary.

Above average & sustained promotions due to attrition.

they have great Work ethics

Colleagues are supportive of each other.

Learning about the people I work with and meet.

Diversity and inclusive culture. No judgement.

Review from Sales Dept

Not much. The company makes sure (at a non corporate level) employees see each other as enemies, seems like they are scared of what could be achieved if people actually united against some of the abuses commited by the company.

Open and honest discussions are encouraged and expected.

Review from Operations Dept

I like my coworkers. They make my workplace a better place

Everyone is nice and experiences

The people I interact with daily.

I have nothing positive to say about American Airlines. My coworkers however are a huge support, as they are experiencing the same things.

Friendly staff and co workers

The pay and the Benefits

I like the way we all work as a team. It seems like when one person needs help, another is ready to assist. We have fun in telhe midst if chaois

cultural diversity, within the company, and those we serve! We are American!!

Nothing to make a employee feel happy

Nothing we have lost all respect for the customers travel plans. On time is the focus so managers can get a bonus

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

In truth, if seventy percent of the management disappeared tomorrow, I don't think anyone would notice. Nor would it affect the operation at all. We can go whole days without seeing any of them while they have meetings and not only is the atmosphere better, but things get done more efficiently.

Horrible company culture at american airlines.

it will be better if people get along, but right now it's a hostile environmental

Hold management and superiors accountable for actions that are in violation of code of conduct and ethic

The scolding culture its not very helpful everyone wants to scold instead of correcting and properly informing

We need to be valued more

Hire executives who actually care about people.

Allowing things to be aired out rather then just brushing things under the rug.

Manager is playing favorites per usual

Less division, more inclusion. One same vision and goal. Proudness to represent the brand. Trust in our leadership.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Stop promoting incompetent people into management positions.

Review from Sales Dept

Leadership at the company needs to experience what being a frontline employee is like. Jill Surdek, the VP over flight attendants needs to quit parading around like she's a flight attendant and actually be a flight attendant

Review from Operations Dept

Eliminate the demeaning culture that exists with the legacy US Air team

Review from Operations Dept

The company needs to listen to the employees and pay attention to the needs of the customers as well!

Review from Customer Support Dept

The work environment is working on shifting sands. You think you are doing well. The next day the sky is falling. A lot of angst working here.

Stop protecting lazy non-performers, it's embarrassing, and it limits the growth of others who are held back by incompetent clock punchers.

Review from Engineering Dept

Again, it’s about valuing employees and recognizing we are important to our bottom line.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Management needs to care about my work life.

Review from Operations Dept

Quit giving us a list of excuses why our employee group cannot be paid with benefits at industry LEADING rates.

Review from Operations Dept

Money, money, money.....they couldn't care less about the passengers or the employees.
