I know that the people who I work directly under care about me as a person. That is a wonderful feeling.
I feel like Im more than just a cog in the wheel. I feel like Im appreciated as the person I am.
We have broken record after record over the past 2 years. Instead of any sort of recognition, bonuses, gifts, or even verbal acknowledgement the response has been "the market is slowing down, things are going to be harder, but we expect more production." Its unrealistic and demoralizing.
I work before work, I work during lunch, I work after work. Since the move to a remote workforce I have been putting in more hours and produced more than ever. As a result I feel I deserve to have either a higher base or a more competitive commission structure.
The ones that care and work hard are invaluable and I love interacting with them. That is the minority. There are far too many seat fillers in the company, people who are doing just enough to get by and look for any reason to avoid having to do their job.
