
Listen to the people. Let them do the work needed to make improvements.
The messaging is always super positive, but completely dissociated from reality. Everything is spun as a win regardless of it's actual impact.
The team keeps things running no matter what. They help each other out and make things happen. When change is thrust upon them they adapt and keep moving.
Many people are leaving for a lot more money. I've had offers from outside companies paying me more money for a position several levels below my current position.
Providing the needed resources. Listening to the people doing the work. Actually fixing problems instead of looking for a superficial "win." Respecting differences among people. Supporting maintenance projects. Establishing realistic timelines.
The coworkers are all disgruntled and broken spirited due to poor management. The good ones don't last long, so there is no tribal knowledge and people are always learning on the job.
