Good, or I would not have been with the FMB family for 18+ years.
It is like a marriage or life. Most times are good; however, there are also rough patches. There have been some changes for our area in the last year; however, the last 4 years have been challenging for different reasons. I am vested in staying but would like to see improvements.
We work together to get the overall goals completed.
Believe they strive their best for the overall good of the company.
We will work together to get the jobs in the pipeline completed.
In general, we have a great group of people working for the company.
The ability to work on my processes and projects without needing to be micro-managed.
The collaboration of the people we work with on a daily basis to do the best thing.
Having a sense of accomplishment. Seeing our pipeline flowing well is typically for the overall good of the company.
Learn their processes and complete the tasks which should be handled in the proper order. Attempting to "beat the system" typically results in more work for any/all parties involved.
For the responsibilities I have assumed over the years, I would be paid a higher salary for less responsibility if I ever opted to leave the First Merchant's family for different employment.
Our group has not expanded staffing in close to 10 years, albeit finalizing several acquisitions / mergers into FMB. This has resulted in more work for our department with no additional workers to help with the added workflow.
I have been the backbone for our department for quite a while and am a frequent person for internal staff to ask for guidance; however, our very small department needs more staff. Burnout is a real concern for our team.
