Calix: I feel very valued at work and the leadership team does their best to offer great opportunities for professional growth. There is a good feeling of empowerment and individual as well as team accomplishments are celebrated which contributes to morale and adds to confidence.
Lamar Advertising: I was very nervous in the beginning due to the fact I was not given adequate training and I have learned a lot through making mistakes. I am making progress daily and I seem to be one of the top producers in my department
Lamar Advertising: Overall, I find that corporte doesn't seem to listen to the people that help make them successful. The ones beating the streets. Systems are slow and waste a lot of time. For example, charting, billing, sales force all have issues that are not addressed. Even with a lot of input from the field.
Lamar Advertising: I'm a relatively new employee but I love coming to work every day. The possibilities and opportunities are endless with Lamar.

Lamar Advertising: Commission Compensation needs to be increased. There has been no increase in years and the cost of living has increased significantly. Compared to other outdoor companies Lamar's commission percentage is low.

Lamar Advertising: When a position opens, it's gone and not likely to open up again. People stay employed here because their benefits package is superb. I would venture to guess that most employees have been here 10+ years and I'm looking forward to following suite. The atmosphere and work / life balance is enjoyable.

Lamar Advertising: Account Executives should have the opporinuty to recieve yearly raises to their salaires to keep up with inflation. There are AE's that have been with Lamar over a decade and their salaries have not increased. Auto allowance should increase.
