Frito has many opportunities to grow for the chosen. Those who start on the floor are not allowed career progression regardless of their abilities. In management there is more of a forward progression but even that can be truncated for a few. The job is difficult with no accountability behavior.
What makes you most happy at work?
The ability to learn new things. There is always opportunity to pick up additional knowledge and responsibilities. You just will not be compensated for it.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The people come together to make a broken system work. It is a difficult environment without accountability, but the team's sacrifice and responsibility make up for the laissez-faire conditions.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The ability to grow is paramount in any industry. It is tough to receive more responsibility for the same amount of pay. My recommendation would be to advance the employees that bring value regardless of their origin within the company. Base it on merit, not on background.
