I've worked at GE for several decades. It no longer seems possible to have a career at GE; it's very difficult to advance past a certain level and so it has become "just a job." I've leaned into "Just a job" and I have much better work-life balance than in my first 10 years here and I'm happier.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I'm grateful to have a compensation package. I miss the pension.

Most people really care about the well being of colleagues and they are invested in GE's success.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Who is "my team"? The team of which I'm a member? My work teams? This question is too vague to answer.
What makes you most happy at work?
When I'm given autonomy to do what I need to do (i.e., no micromanaging), when I"m doing work that is meaningful (i.e., not just "pushing paper" or "busy work"), when I'm recognized for my expertise.
