I have found GE to be much the same as other large companies I have worked for. To any managers and over complicated. More and more is expected of middle management with the latest introduction of Workday is a fine example of pushing additional work onto middle management in the name of empowerment

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We all have a good attitude and try to pull together. No free loaders in the parts teams, all trying to do the beast possible job
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I am at the lower end of my band , I expect this is due to my age (nearly 60) Certainly not over paid for what I do
What are some of the best things about your team?
We are a real team - I love it when one of the team advise they have bandwidth to help other members and happy to cover over so-worker holiday periods. All happy to ask for help or highlight an issue as they should
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Death by email - The email load has always been high, but has accelerated in the current environment. With the addition of teams it can be hard to find time to work on the jobs that need your full attention. For me to many meetings.
