Every day has its unpredictable subject which will make it special.
What makes you most happy at work?
To manage my team and liaise with them. To have new technical challenges.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
To be able to work with people in other countries. Cultural exchanges are great.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We take care of each other and they are fully committed to support our business.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Some (most of) restructuring plan decisions are taken without consulting the team leaders. Especially when leaders are in a different country than the impacted collaborators.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The transparency culture. Sometimes things are confidential and can't be disclosed but it's always better to explain that we can't disclose something than to try to mitigate a subject or to give false information.
What are some of the best things about your team?
2 times a 30min. call with the whole team per week (one the morning and one the afternoon to cover all time zone). 1to1 call 1 week out of 2 with my direct reports.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
During the Covid pandemic and even now because it is not finished yet, the protection of GE's collaborators has been amazing. GE is present to help and support its collaborators everywhere in the world. This is great to see that we were able to sustain our business.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
GE is promoting the merit to determine the salary increase. When you come from another company bought by GE, the alignment of a past low salary is not easy. I'm satisfied with the Salary increase I have received even if I stay below the one which is corresponding to my position and responsibilities.
