GE is a good brand and a solid company that makes money which gives it a currency to progress in a changing world. There is not currently a clear plan to spend that currency. It pays well and is broadly meritocratic, but there is still too many cooks in the kitchen which leads to bureaucracy.

It is somewhat meritocractic and outcome focussed. GE generally makes money.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The Steam Power team is highly collaborative and outcome focussed, with a lack of agenda and a simple accountability structure.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Lean is not explained well in its application to bespoke processes, nor modelled by the C-Suite at group level. They tend to try to manage outcomes through various direct and indirect channels, and don't apply standard work to C-Suite deal based activities.
