I would never recommend the railroad to anyone. We are underpaid and our benefits aren't great. Now that they got rid of pensions after a certain year, why would anyone want to work here. Additionally, over the last several years there has been so much instability that I would never wish upon anyone

There have been a lot of ups and downs. Things have gotten better and significantly improved. I still think a lot of managers shouldn't be managing people as they don't have the personality or skills. There are still issues with pay but overall things are better.

I like when projects are completed.

A lot of new people. They have much better attitudes.

I am wildly under paid and literally cannot afford anything.

I am glad people are making the effort to change the culture to be more inclusive and transparent.

Benchmarked against other companies, I am underpaid. Our benefits are pretty much trash, especially if you are a person who requires annual procedures.

I don't think our culture is that great. UP/Loup has a history of saying the right things but not doing the right things. D&I is prime example.
What makes you most happy at work?
I think this question is absurd. I am neither excited nor upset about working. There are things that could be better and things that could be worse. We work for a massive and greedy corporation, that is nothing to get excited about.
