I would describe my experience as making my way in a boys club. Most of the sales positions are held by men and more of the secretarial jobs are held by women. I feel stuck in my position there's not a clear growth opportunity for me to advance to but the environment is fun and they serve lunch!
What makes you most happy at work?
I love when the kitchen is trying out recipes for events and lets us taste the treats!
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The prioritize making it fun. They create a unique work environment unlike any other place I have worked before.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We are all friends and care about each others successes. We all want the best for each other. My team is extremely willing to help out anyone when needed.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone for the most part can take a joke and likes to have a good time. The environment is very supportive and welcoming. There a live plants around that help it feel clean and fresh.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
It is expected of us to get our job done hitting at least the minimum hours of 40 a week but if your job takes you more than 40 hours you are expected to stay longer, for salary employees this creates a unique situation where you want to get your job done but you also don't want to work 50+ hours
