Malouf Companies Design Department Employee Reviews

I love a lot of things about Malouf, but feel a little disillusioned after this year. A lot of the sentimental talk about company culture has started to feel a little hokey to me. It's just a job, folks. We're here to put food on the table. Thankfully, Malouf is a workplace filled with good people.

There are not enough people at the base of the company to support goals coming from other departments. As far as marketing, it is not very well planned out. Departments that work to meet product launch dates are in chaos most the time due to lack of planning and foresight.

A person who is outgoing and loves to constantly be busy will love working here. There are so many opportunities for extra work and service. There are tons of activities for employees as well. I guess I'm not super passionate about Malouf because I'm not passionate about the product.

I love Malouf. I've had lots of opportunities. It's stressful and chaotic at times because of its high desire for growth, but the company tries to not make that at the expense of people. People care about each other and ideas are welcome.

There is clear favoritism between brands at Malouf. We've heard time and time again that they are working to resolve this but don't communicate what they are doing to fix it. Resources are not allocated equally. People and brands are favored more than others.

I love that insurance is 100% covered and the new PTO policy is fantastic.

The insurance benefits are really awesome and have saved me and my family a lot this year with some unexpected health issues that have happened.

Health insurance premiums are paid for by the company. Even though I've been lucky enough to not need to use my insurance much, having the premiums taken care of and having such great coverage is a huge bonus.

Malouf was unable to offer raises this year, which is rough for those who took on extra work and responsibilities. People in my field are already underpaid at Malouf vs. other employers. ANY attempt at compensation, including non-monetary benefits like a little more time off, would help.

I do a lot of extra the company, and I have a lot of qualifications we seem to turn a blind eye to the it comes to my pay. I haven't even been given raises to keep up with cost of living. because of this my buying power is about 12% less then when I started.

Employees are generally paid at a locally competitive level. But in order to keep getting talent, I believe employees should be compensated at a more nationally competitive level. Especially considering the amount of remote jobs available now.

I got my job right out of college at a lower paying wage and now have to slowly work up the ladder. My friends and colleagues that have the same amount of work experience as me make at least 50k and i'm still quite a bit behind. I work really hard and feel underpaid now that i'm more experienced.

I don't feel undervalued. I don't think that's the right term. We claim to be an industry leader, yet I feel like we don't have industry leading salaries, or at least I don't feel like I do. It's hard to hear how profitable we're doing as a company and not see that reflected in a pay increase.

The culture is very open and supportive of any idea, no matter where it comes from. The office space is fantastic. There's also lots of room to craft your own path if you're willing to put in the effort.

I'm not a big fan of most of the products at Malouf. I think that a lot of them are cheaply made and overpriced. I would like to see more of a support system to support and hear all employees. I think some employees have that opportunity, but not all.
