Nice people run NETSCOUT. Very caring people (Nice Persons Finish First), but also not willing to let the rest of the C-level team be fully accountable for their domain areas. Everything, and I mean everything, has to funnel up to the CEO and his brother which breeds terrible inefficiency.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Generally very technically savvy and know networking and industry very well.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I feel I'm paid well once base salary, bonus and RSU are all factored together. General benefits (medical, PTO) are also very generous.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Build a top-down business model that scales with decision-making at the top and let your Exec Team be accountable for their high-level decision making
What makes you most happy at work?
For the most part, I like the people I work with and I like being involved in building new ways to solve problems in the business.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We all are in it together. We all work for a benevolent dictator and his difficult micro-managerial brother, but we all learn that we're in it together like a family-run company. Together, as coworkers, we just learn to accept it as we know nothing will change. So we put a positive spin on it.
