I think our hospital provides a good environment to work, it has a great location and decent benefits. Challenges I have are the large number of mediocre agency nurses, and the fact that those of us who have been here for many years are not being recognized and compensated for our loyalty.

The teamwork, the appreciation for different cultures and values.

When we are adequately staffed.

They work hard, and try to improve staff satisfaction and patient outcomes.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Most of them are hard workers, they help each other and try to provide excellent patient care.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Some hospitals in the greater Atlanta area pay their nurses higher salaries. Also, knowing that agency staff are getting paid 2-3 times more is very discouraging. What would make me feel better is to receive some sort of loyalty bonus. The newer hires are getting raises more frequently.
