What are some of the best things about your team?

your experience at northside is entirely dependent on if you have a qualified and capable leader and a supportive team. There is so much burn out and so little support from Northside and so little recognition for what nurses and providers do every day.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Raises are minimal. You are expected to take on responsibilities without compensation. There is no culture of appreciation. Benefits are awful and discriminatory. You can't add partner unless married and they have to be completely uninsured to get you benefits. Maternity leave time is a joke.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Unfortunately when you don't pay or invest in the mental health and well being of staff (inside and outside work) and you don't invest in reducing health disparities you can't bad patient experience and outcomes. You get burned out providers dreading work. That's Northside in a nutshell

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Northside leaders' approach to DEI goes only as far as superficial post to LinkedIn or an HR page banner saying "happy pride" or "honor Native American Heritage Month" & 1 DEI training. It's a sham. Northside does nothing to actually improve the health disparities effecting BIPOC & LGBTQ people

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

There is just no investment in culture. I think most leaders don't feel like they have enough time or support to even think about culture. They are too busy filling in, managing burned out. And there is no investment in DEI and belonging. You are punished for making comments like these
