I am new to the company and have had to deal with understaffing and leaves of absence that have impeded my ability to truly train in all the areas I needed to before starting to run my program, so I cannot answer positively for all areas. However, my company has been very very very very supportive.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The culture and environment of the company are extremely positive.
What makes you most happy at work?
Leadership, making a difference, and being heard as an employee.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Some staff lack the drive and passion for this work.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The company and leadership seem invested in the company's mission, values, and goals just as much as their staff.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
My peers throughout the state are willing to help me, train me, coach me, listen to me vent. My supervisor is the same.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The company shows they see their staff as more than just employees through the compensation, perks, benefits, and treatment of staff. This is a welcome change from many other companies.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Fair pay (though it isn't equal to the cost of living in the area), great benefits, great potential for growth, amazing training opportunities, lunches and bonuses that make you feel special.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is new to the workforce so they can be modeled. Many are eager to learn. Some have interest in growing. Some are really great at picking up on processes.
What makes you most happy at work?
I feel accomplished. I feel like my team, even if they don't want to work or enjoy it at times, they will see that I care about them and their success.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The team appears to care about the individual employees. GEO provides amazing opportunities for growth, well-being, and staff development. They provide for our basic needs so that we can focus on growing and helping our participants. They don't appear to be focused on money or punishments.
